Our newsletter is getting a makeover!

During the 2020-2021 school year, the FPSS-CSQ conducted a survey of its members to identify your communication consumption habits.

The results of this poll made it clear that our union bulletin, Le Relais, needed to be overhauled.  This is why, from now on, the FPSS-CSQ will be using a newsletter to communicate with you.

With concise union news articles, the newsletter will be issued whenever necessary to keep you informed about what’s happening at the Federation.

In between issues, don’t hesitate to contact your local union if you have any questions about working conditions or professional affairs! They are in the best position to answer your questions and guide you, because they are most familiar with your realities on the ground.

2010 Pay Equity Maintenance

Last June, we announced the signing a 2010 pay equity maintenance agreement with the provincial government.

This agreement affecting the School or Centre Secretaries and Day Care Service Technicians stipulates that retroactivity will be paid in a single payment, along with the legal rate of interest, within six months of the signing of the agreement.

The agreement was signed on June 9, 2021, so the payment must be made by December 9, 2021.

The agreement dealing with the Administration Technician job category stipulates that the retroactivity will be paid with a single payment, along with the legal rate of interest, by December 1, 2021.

 

But the FPSS-CSQ has now learned that the Treasury Board is considering postponing the payment for a few months, ignoring the clauses negotiated between the two parties.

It goes without saying that the FPSS-CSQ is currently pressuring the government to respect its commitments!!
