This survey is intended for Day Care Service Educators. The Minister of Education has announced a Classroom Aide pilot project to assist teachers in the classroom. There are already school support staff working in the classroom, such as Special Education Technicians and Attendants for Handicapped Students. The role of the Classroom Aide should not interfere with the roles of these other staff members. The goal would be to collaborate with the teacher in the classroom in organizing the class and helping students. The Classroom Aide would be classified as a Day Care Service Educator. The school’s administration would be responsible for supervision, so there would be no hierarchical relationships with teachers, making it a collaborative effort.
